Philips Norelco 7110X Electric Shaver~Keeps My Legs & His Face Smooth

by kparsons13 Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 200, Nov 27 '06
Pros: smooth results, easy to use, charges fast
Cons: waiting for a couple weeks for your face/legs to get used to it
For the past few years I have been trying to talk my other half into getting a new electric shaver. The one that he had for years was getting outdated and to buy a new blade was as much to just purchase a new shaver. So that is what we did. We bought a ...

The Tale of a Good Razor and a Spoiled User

by woody2 Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 1000, Dec 21 '07
Pros: Shaves quickly, closely, and smoothly in a variety of situations, affordable, rechargeable
Cons: A bit slippery to hold onto, not as "refined" as it's more expensive siblings
The Philips Norelco 7110x is a cordless rechargeable shaver that uses a patented "Reflex Action" system, which "automatically adjusts to every curve on your face for flexible, smoother shaving". It features their individually floating heads, that lift ...

A close shave after a few weeks

by bensbud , Feb 16 '07
Pros: Cordless, comfortable grip, easy to clean, great value
Cons: No base/stand, no travel bag, 3 weeks "shaver training"
After spending the past two years nicking myself with regular razors (Mach3, etc), I decided it was time to return to the electric shaver arena. I did some shopping around but after spending $5 for new blades, dropping over a hundred for a new electric ...

Another try at an electric shaver

by MPescatore , Jun 15 '04
Pros: An even, dependable shave and about two weeks of life per battery charge.
Cons: Not as close a shave as a Mach 3.
I tried an electric razor more than a decade ago and was less than impressed. I decided to give them another shot, but I wasn’t willing to drop $100 on something that may or may not satisfy me. Instead, I figured I’d gamble with about $40 at Target on ...

The closest shave for and electric shaver!

by eythanrules , Jan 04 '05
Pros: Rotary Heads,year warranty,Cheap Price
Cons: try the top of the line reflex for 1 hour charge
I have always have problems with irritation when I shave. So about three years ago I started on a quest to try electric shaving. My first shaver was a remington rotary shaver. That thing cost $60 and the shave was horrible producing a lot of irritation ...

Great Shaver !!
by mikeylikesit77 ,Jan 05 '07
Pros: Very light and very comfortable to hold.
Cons: Can't think of anything that would make it better !!
After several years of use my old NORELCO needed new heads or just get a new one. I purchased a new one last night at Walmart for $34.99 Model 7110X. It is quite different than my old one being very very light...but very comfortable to hold. Having shaved with it the first time today it was great !! NORELCO is the Best Product out there and the Price is very affordable !! You can't go wrong with NORELCO!!

Close Shave!! SWEET
by imacatlvr ,Jan 01 '07
Pros: Light, clean close shave, cordless, easy to use
Cons: perhaps a holder, if someone likes to keep it out in the bathroom.
I purchased this for my husband for Christmas, his old norelco was in need of replacement. For the price I thought I Would snatch up this model.
My husband says its GREAT, close smooth shave, very lightweight and easy to maintain.

Battery doesn't keep charge long enough
by usshopper ,Nov 30 '07
Pros: close shave
Cons: battery doesn't keep charge long enough
I am very disappointed with my new Philips Norelco 7110x. Its battery is too small and requires frequent charging. According to Philips customer service, the battery can hold a maximum charge of 25 minutes. If it takes 5 minutes to shave....a person would need to recharge every 5 days. This is way too frequent and a hassle. My older Philips shaver required recharging every 3-4 weeks! NOT every 5 days. I'm very very disappointed with this product.

7110X Phillips Norelco Shaver
by oberfeldwebel ,Nov 25 '06
Pros: Very quiet motor. Smooth comfortable action . Definite improvement over my old foil.
Cons: Long charge time, suggest up to three weeks for beard to adjust.
Previously used a Remington foil razor for years. The noise level of the motor was fairly loud and it became more of a chore than pleasure to shave. Found the 7110X on sale for $29.95 at Rite-Aid, did some internet research and decided to try it. Worth every dime of price paid. Doubt any buyer would be disappointed. I wouldn't go back to my old Remington foil.

Gets the job done ... eventually
by nwfl ,Feb 26 '08
Pros: Price, gets the job done ... eventually. Red light indicates when the battery needs charging.
Cons: Extremely slow motor speed even when fully charged
Fine shaver for the price EXCEPT:

The unit always sounds like the batteries need charging -even immediately after being on the charger for 24 hours. The motor just doesn't rotate the blades fast enough for a quick shave. The fully charged battery operates the unit for 25 minutes. That's 2 weeks of shaving with my old R845 but only 4-5 days with this unit. Shaving seems to take forever.

When fully charged the green lights are supposed to blink. I've never gotten them to blink - even after charging for 24 hours. (The directions warn you not to charge the unit more than 24 hours.)

Good shaver
by jdkdovmdn ,Jan 16 '08
Pros: Smooth shave, great price
Cons: Battery life
Shaver works great!! Smooth shave, easy to grip, and it didn't cause any irritation when I first started using it. The only bad thing is battery life. Must charge for 8 hours to be able to use 25 minutes unplugged.

Prefer remington
by buz1 ,Sep 06 '08
Pros: Long lasting charge, and a great trimmer
Cons: have to keep going over and over the same spot to get a decent shave.
I have a Remington that I bought about 15 years ago. I need a rechargable as I spend a lot of time in the field. After my Iraq tour I decided to treat myself to a new razor and bought the Norelco. It has a long lasting charge and I really like the trimmer. It only works if I have a one day growth or less (the Remington will work on a 4 day growth.) After 3 years of mostly the Norelco, I still use my remington a few times a month and I like it better. I have to keep going over my face again and again with the Norelco.
