I just picked this game up a few days ago and I have already finished it. This is one of the main problems with games now a days they are just too short. Before I go into a rant here let me tell some good things about the game.

Max Payne is an amazing game, worthy of a game of the year title. It didn't receive the title that I know of, but I know it was in the running for it. The gameplay is excellent and the AI is also very good for most times. The graphics are slightly outdated, but besides that, it kept me entertained and playing over and over again!
